OUR SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT

Flynn Home is committed to sustainability in all facets of business, as a responsibility to our community and our environment. We are a sustainable, ethical and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand.

We take responsibility for the impact our brand has on the environment and have committed to an entirely ethically-made and locally sourced product range and sustainable packaging and working from our home workshop and studio to lower our carbon footprint.

We are committed to educating ourselves and our community by consistently exploring new ways we can lower our environmental impact and improve on our commitment to sustainability.

THE MATERIALS WE USE

All of our materials are ethically and locally sourced.

Our timber goods are all made from reclaimed Australian hardwoods and Forest Steward Council-certified timbers.

Our in-house home goods range is considered based upon the environmental consequences. Our reclaimed timbers are sourced in our local area, our production is from a consciously chosen home-based workshop to lower our carbon footprint.

Our vintage and preloved home goods range is sourced locally, within the Sydney region.

Our slow living range works with Australian artisans that are committed to sustainability in their own right. Our artisans are committed to using non-toxic ingredients and materials and must adhere to these sustainability values to be stocked within our range.

PACKAGING + SOURCING

Flynn Home uses sustainable packaging and all of our packaging is either compostable or recyclable.

We send our home goods in paper boxes wrapped in Geami wrap to ensure the item is safe and recyclable/reusable. Clothing and other items are sent in parcels made from corn starch that are entirely compostable.

For vintage and preloved sourcing we use reusable shopping bags, carts and boxes to transport our goods.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

We consider the environment in everything we do from our business premises and practices to our product ranges and resources used. Our in-house home goods and artisans are carefully researched with all facets of the production process, treatments and wastage considered.

We are committed to utilising what already exists to recycle, repurpose, reconsider and recreate to save materials and goods ending up in landfill.

We consciously choose to work from our home workshop and studio to lower our carbon footprint.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our community is impacted by the decisions we make.

We are committed to educating ourselves and our community by consistently exploring new ways we can lower our environmental impact and improve on our commitment to sustainability.

We are committed to slow living and making conscious purchase decisions. We are committed to offering products that are ethically made and locally sourced if and when our community feels the need to add to their home.
